Kat’s Tat’s has been in business since June 2007 doing tattoos and body piercings. I recently decided to sell my shop in Owatonna and move to the beautiful town of Grand Marais MN. A $50.00 Deposit will be required for all Tattoo Appointments.
Deposits are non-refundable and will hold your tattoo appointment.
The Deposit will be credited towards the cost of your tattoo the day of your appointment.
If a tattoo must be broken into multiple sessions, the deposit will be taken off of the last session that work is received for the tattoo.
RESCHEDULING: If there is an issue with your appointment time you must call at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. The deposit you paid to set this appointment may be used on ONE reschedule, any additional rescheduling will require an addition deposit of $50.00 each time the appointment needs to be rescheduled. Our time is just as valuable as yours and constantly having to reschedule appointments causes lost profits.
NO CALL/NO SHOW of a scheduled appointment will result in a forfeit of your deposit.
We can only honor your Deposit for 1 year from the date of the Initial appointment set up. After this times and we have not heard from the client we will consider the deposit as forfeited.
This in place for the protection of our artist’s, the high volume of clients wanting to get appointments, and the limited space available on high demand days.

Tattoo Aftercare

Leave bandage on until bleeding stops

Do NOT soak in a bath, hot tub, pool, or sink for at least 2 weeks

Shower like normal without scrubbing or rubbing the tattoo with a rag. A minimal amount of soft soap (Dial gold, dove, ect.) may be used to was the tattoo by hand. Rinse well!

To dry the tattoo, pat (do NOT rub) the area with a clean paper towel. Let air dry for 2-5 min before applying ointment.

ALWAYS wash hands before applying ointment or touching during the healing process

Apply a VERY THIN layer of Aquaphor. Never Neosporin or Vaseline. Use very thin amounts multiple times daily until tattoo is healed. This should be about two weeks.

When all healed, continue to keep clean and use non-dye, non-fragrance lotion to keep the skin soft. This will help retain the ink. Lubriderm, Eucerin, or Equate work fine.

For the first 2 days, HOT PACK, take a paper towel, run under hot water, ring out excess water, and press against tattoo for 30 seconds. DO NOT RUB OR WIPE, press and peel. Repeat 2-3 times a day for the first 2 days. This will help remove any extra ink or blood that may be present.
